Woke up this morning to see a lot of white outside. It actually started yesterday but when it was over, the snow tally was 12 inches of fresh powder. The MINI is tucked safely and warmly in the garage partly because yesterday brought what I feared was another flat tyre. While at the MINI dealer yesterday finishing some stripes (see below), the accessories manager noticed a very low or flat tire. BTW, the tires currently on my MINI are a brand new set of Goodyear all season run-flats. At $297 each I was not happy to see a low tire since these rock hard lumps of rubber had seen fewer than 500 miles or tarmac. Anyway, I stopped by the service dept. on my way out and they aired it up and I headed home for the garage because by now there was about three inches of snow on the ground. I was crossing my fingers that maybe because it was 9 degrees F my tire simply needed some air. So far, as of this afternoon, the tire is holding 32 lb. of air 24 hours after being topped off. We shall see if she holds.
Here are the pics of what I installed yesterday.
Tune back in for more adventures tomorrow.
