I saw a plastic surgeon late last week for a follow-up to my ER visit on Firday the 13th. He pretty much said my thumb was going to be fine and I'd have to keep the stitches in for another week. He also said it might take a year to get the feeling back and for my nail to grow out where the good ER Doc burned the holes for the stitches. Then he said I'd have to wait another week before I could play the drums. So, if all goes well, I'll be doing my best Tito Puente imitation again on July 6.
