Travels part one

octane.jpg

First off, I'm stoked about being able to buy 93 octane gas in Texas. That probably doesn't mean much to most, but the MINI drives wicked fast on 93. Plus, 93 octane premium is only $1.75/gal here. That's .21¢/gal less than premium at home.

Ok, wrench-head geek talk is over. We had a blast heading south. If you want, you can check out our travel pics here.

We were emotionally moved by visiting the Oklahoma City National Memorial. There's a massive emptiness there. You can view the photos here.

More from Austin and San Antonio to come...

first, you are a sick! sick! sick! man, todd p. the fact that your trip pics to texas all include your car is absolutely HILARIOUS!!! i bet those texans took real kind to the UJ, also.

second, the pictures of the OKC Bombing Memorial are more than moving. last i was in OKC i didn’t get the chance to visit it. thanks so much for sharing these pics with us. i will make it a point to go next time i am there. 9:01-9:03…not ashamed to say i cried.

yo. i totally agree with eH. i was laughing my ass off. todd - like 9.7 out of every 10 blog entries are about the mini. now, dude, it is one cool car, but ha! every picture has at least some part of the mini in it….

on the oklahoma city memorial - it reminds me the importance of the nyc project we’re working on for construction of a memorial there. more details in my blog when everything is set and being built… but yeah, this stuff is a not-gentle reminder of the world we live in…
